I'm digging for some info on this custom guitar. It appeared in a full-page Mighy Mite ad for their 1300 Distortion Humbucking pickups in the July, 1979 Guitar Player magazine. Backplate names the guitar, "The Sheik", and shows the luthiers as Mike Kelley and John Losch. Not for sale, just researching. Thanks for any help!

Mighty Mite Topics / C-4 Pickups
« Last post by StillRock on July 19, 2010, 10:55:22 AM »
I saw an ad for C-4 pickups in the September 2010 issue of Guitar Player Magazine and I was hoping to find more information about them here on mightymite.com.  I can't seem to find any mention of them here, but I'm comparing them to some of the competing active pickups out there and I wonder how they hold up, from installing to playing.  The only thing I can really find about them on line is the demonstration video from their introduction at Summer NAMM 2009, in the video with Jeff and Tommy Bolin.  Are they solderless connections?  What are the specs?  Where can I find them?

Mighty Mite Topics / are the Tele necks BiFlex
« Last post by ormond on July 16, 2010, 09:13:58 PM »
New Mighty Mite Tele neck is adjusting to the climate here in So. Cal. After about 3 days it is getting concave (high at the ends, low in the middle). I think I am supposed to turn clockwise - but nothing I have done seems to be making the neck straight. Is the MM neck bi-flex so it will adjust for concave or convex conditions? There is zero tension on the truss rod when I turn clockwise, so I am wondering how these necks are configured.

Mighty Mite Topics / Lots of questions, not many answers....

I notice that here most questions go unanswered.  >:( Is there nobody lurking here that represents the company?  Most of these questions  should be easy to answer but it is not happening.  Not a good sign.

Mighty Mite Topics / MM Tele Bodies & bridges
« Last post by funkymann1 on June 05, 2010, 04:22:42 AM »
I bought a Blank Tele Mighty Mite body & bridge (MM2112) from Stype brothers in Pompano & when you line up the bridge holes for the feed thru body strings the rear pickup needs to be routed more towards the front of the body for the pickup hole on the bridge to match. Is this normal? I figured since they are both Mighty Mite the bridge would fit perfectly.
Please let me know.

output jack is drilled, but may need enlarging for big stereo jacks

none of the small holes are drillied for mounting the pickguard or hardware
.... or the tremolo! <----

I use tuners with staggered post height.

otherwise at least one string tree would be needed to keep the angle of the high b and e string
from being too shallow to bear down into the nut
